Rose Cottage is a 300 year old building with most of the original features still intact. With the flag stone floors and open wood burner it is homely and welcoming. In the summer it catches the sun all day long. The cottage is one of the oldest in the village and has a unique energy. Its calming, relaxing atmosphere makes it a popular “retreat” from the stresses of everyday life.
Two miles from the medieval towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury is the village of Shipton Moyne. Tucked away down a long country lane, the village is virtually unspoiled, with a Church and a country pub. Whether you are a serious walker or prefer a stroll through the Arboretum, both are on the doorstep.
Walks to Tetbury or Westonbirt Arboretum The walks in the area are spectacular. You can walk for an hour or all day if you choose. The dry stone walls and country lanes add to the charm of the Cotswolds. Time slows down when you are here with all the time to take in the sights and smells of the countryside.
